Classic Namibia: Red Dunes, the Atlantic & Giraffes
Namibia looks as if it was invented for the cinema. Red dunes at sunrise, the sun-bleached floor of Deadvlei with its dark silhouettes of trees, pink salt lakes and flamingos against the ocean. We've turned all of it into an eight-day route where no two days are alike and activity alternates with rest — no rushing, no burnout.
Highlights
- An open-jeep safari in the private Bagatelle reserve: antelopes, giraffes and cheetahs at arm's length
- The Quiver Tree Forest — a kind of aloe that grows over nine metres tall
- Sunrise in Sossusvlei: the highest dunes and the ancient trees of Deadvlei
- A cruise on Walvis Bay: dolphins, the world's largest fur seal colony, and the freshest oysters with sparkling wine
- Sandwich Harbour, where the dunes meet the ocean: pink salt lakes and flamingos
- UNESCO-protected Bushman rock art and sunset on top of Spitzkoppe
- A visit to the Himba people
