Hands-on practice Workshops Relaxed Creative Social

Join us for a day of creativity, clay and connection! Learn to embellish, make personalised stamps, carve and decorate your own deluxe festive platter — a piece made for a table full of people.

What you will do

Over four hours you work on one generous platter. Kathleen guides you through surface decoration: making your own personalised stamps, pressing patterns into the clay, carving, and adding raised details such as flowers, scrolls and lace-like edges.

Who it is for

All skill levels are welcome; some experience with clay is an added bonus. The pace is unhurried and there is time to talk, look at each other's work and enjoy the afternoon.

Your finished pieces

The pieces need to be fired after the workshop, which can take 4–6 weeks. When they are ready, you can collect them from the Coil & Pinch studio in Tulbagh, or have them couriered to you at your own cost.
