Armenia gives a painter a lot to work with: clear mountain light, ancient temples and monasteries, Lake Sevan and Mount Ararat on the horizon. It is also the country of Martiros Saryan, whose bright landscapes made its colours famous.

On an art tour you paint with a working artist in a small group. For example, an eight-day watercolour tour with a studio master class and five days of plein air — at the Temple of Garni, Lake Sevan, Dilijan, the foot of Ararat and Gyumri — plus the Saryan and Parajanov house museums and a cooking class. This tour is led in Russian, and beginners are welcome.
