Mud Dauber

Pottery residencies in the jungle of South Goa
Mud Dauber is the family home, jungle homestay and pottery studio of Alexandra Zhiguleva and Sumit Dalal in Canacona, South Goa. The property brings together an 80-year-old Portuguese villa, two mud cottages the family built by hand from natural materials, and an in-house pottery studio, on a small hillock overlooking the Talpona river. What began as their own artistic and building project has grown into a place where they welcome people to learn, create and try a slower way of living. Together they run pottery residencies that bring ceramics, art, natural building and yoga into one shared experience: guests stay with the family, work in the studio, practise yoga, explore the nature around and get to know the local culture.
